mapLinePlot: Base ggplot lineplot from assay data

Description

Function for a default lineplot ggplot that can be used to dplyr::map nested data to some default plots. The base plot can be appended with ggplot::geom_point for example to create a scatterplot. NOTE that this function expects the group in plotCols as opposed to other PhenoDb plotting functions!

Arguments

df

A data.frame with values to plot

title

Title of the plot

plotCols

A named list of plot settings

Details

The plotCols list must be named with at least

x

Column name of values on the X-axis

y

Column name of values on the y-axis

color

Column name of values to color by

group

Column name to group lines by (like Subjects)

Optionally, you can also add facets,

facet1

Column name of vertical facets

facet2

Column name of horizontal facets

Value

A ggplot object without any geom
