#'      \item{SPECIES}{The species of the species. (Yeah, I 
#'          went there.)}
#'      \item{VARIETY}{The variety of the species, if applicable.
#'          Often blank.}
#'      \item{SUBSPECIES}{The subspecies of the organism, if
#'          applicable. Often blank.}
#'      \item{SPECIES_SYMBOL}{The common 4 letter and optional
#'          number designation for a species. Matches the USDA
#'          PLANTS database designations, and is what we use to
#'          find or match species in this table.}
