• [ ] Add in spatial database for Rwanda, Haiti, etc.?
• [ ] Check that the layerName doesn't contain any extensions
• [ ] Check that layerName exists within the wd
• [ ] fix frontier.rdb corrupt
• [ ] explicit packages? sp??

Done:

• [ ] read_shp: import shapefile
• [ ] import_shp: import shapefile and convert to lat/lon
