In jcpsantiago/gmi: Calculate Various Glucose Metabolism Indices

gmi

gmi (glucose metabolism indices) is an R package that bundles popular insulin sensitivity and beta cell function indexes, so you don't need an extra excel sheet, to copy-paste a function, or to write the formula yourself.

Installation

Only the developmental version is currently available.

# install.packages("remotes")
remotes::install_github("jcpsantiago/gmi")

Indexes

Comparisons between each index and the hyperinsulinaemic-euglycaemic clamp are discussed in Otten et al., 2014

The following indices are currently implemented:

Fasting indices: FIRI HOMA-IR * QUICKI (both original and revised)

OGTT indices: Cederholm Gutt (ISI0,120) Matsuda (Composite Index) NEFA-ISI Stumvoll-ISI Stumvoll-MCR
