replicates_peaks: Raw peak data for replicates

Description Usage Format Source

Description

Object "replicates" is a list containing raw M-TRFLP peak data (as output by GeneMapper) for 27x samples in sets of 3x replicates.

Usage

1

Format

A list containing 27 data frames, each with different numbers of rows but with 7 columns.

names

Data frames within the list are named sequentially 1-27 by their sample reference number. See ?replicates_data for more information.

dye

A character string indicating the colour of the peak's primer dye, taking one of the values "R" (red), "G" (green), "B" (blue), "Y" (yellow/black) or "O" (orange).

peak

A sequential numeric reference number (i.e. index) for the peak, restarting per dye and per sample, and therefore unique per dye- sample combination.

Size

The size, in base pairs, of the peak as measured by GeneMapper.

Height

The height (units of in fluorescent intensity or FI) of the peak.

Area

The total area of the peak, in FI squared. Note that peaks can overlap substantially, which can cause underestimates of their area.

Data.Point

I honestly am not sure what this is. I think it's a non- parametric measurement of the peak elution time/distance.

Personal lab work.
