Description

Descriptive summary statistics, by method-of-moments.

Usage

 ```1 2 3``` ```describe(x, na.rm = TRUE, digits = 2, type = 1, ...) mom(x, na.rm = TRUE, digits = 2, type = 1, ...) ```

Arguments

 `x` vector of values to be summarized `na.rm` logical, defaults to TRUE `digits` numeric, number of digits for rounding `type` default=1, an integer between 1 and 3 selecting one of the algorithms for computing skewness detailed in `kurtosis` `...` further arguments passed to other methods

Details

Method-of-moments summaries for first 4 moments.

• NEG kurtosis = flat distribution (platykurtic)

• POS kurtosis = peaked distribution (leptokurtic)

• ZERO kurtosis ~ the normal distribution (mesokurtic)

• NEG skewness indicates mean < median (left-skewed)

• POS skewness indicates mean > median (right-skewed)

Value

For `describe`, a list with descriptive statistics:

• mean = mean

• sd = standard deviation

• var = variance

• sem = standard error of the mean

• cv = coefficient of variation

• n = count of real elements

• NAs = count of NA elements

• skw = skewness

• krt = kurtosis

For `mom`, a list with 4 moments:

• mean = mean

• var = variance

• skew = skewness

• kurt = kurtosis
