The data included in this package was created using records from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's (FWS) Environmental Conservation Online System (ECOS). This database is the official agenc repository for publicly accessible information about species listed under the Endangered Species Act (ESA). Extracted data in this package is related to taxanomic, geographic, and temporal information for all listed species. The package includes a function to launch an interactive web app that can be used to explore this data.
