In escapeR: Escape Room Adventures for Learning R in Ecological Statistics

escapeR 0.1.0

• Initial release of ecological-statistics puzzles and room-authoring tools.
• Includes a 20-room introductory sequence and 25 Ecologia Numérica rooms.
• Delete saved profiles with delete_progress() and select storage with the escapeR.progress_dir option.
• Detects unreadable saves and player-name collisions; isolates test storage.

Acknowledgement

This package would not even leave the project stage without the amazing help of chatGPT-5.6 Sol. I am in awe and at the same time extremely worried about the myriad of consequences that are undoubtedly coming from the widespread use of AI. In this case, it helped me a lot making this package see the light of day and being released into the wild, but I am worried about the acritical thinking of the technologies and the impacts it might have in the way we teach, in the way we learn, and in the way our society evolves, and indeed, persists, in the coming years.
