detect.spikes: Detects spikes in series of numbers.
helperpeak: helper function for small peak elimination
keepmax: Eliminates peak pairs too close to each other.
peakpick: Identifies smooth peaks in series of numbers.
scaledrow: Helper functions for computing scaled peaks
smallpeaks: delete small peaks from vector with peak candidates
