In rintcal: Radiocarbon Calibration Curves

rintcal 1.2.1

• undid the un-nesting of if-loops in ccurve from version 1.2.0, owing to it causing a bug in rice.

rintcal 1.2.0

• The files of all C14 curves are now separated by spaces (some postbomb curves had tabs instead)
• new option to use as.pMC in the functions ccurve, mix.ccurves and glue.ccurves
• added Prof. Christopher Bronk Ramsey as contributor (he kindly wrote much of the code to extract information from the intcal data)
• added postbomb data 2016-2023 from Jungfraujoch (Emmenegger et al. 2024, doi:10.1017/RDC.2016.62)
• reduced the amount of nested 'if's in the function ccurve.
• intcal.data now also plots data at the extremes of the age axis

• added NOTCal04 (van der Plicht et al. 2004) as legacy curve. This curve was released 20 years ago as a warning NOT to calibrate older radiocarbon ages, because at the time the datasets were too much in disagreement - however, some did go ahead and used NOTCal04 as a calibration curve...
• added the original plain-text files intcal20.14c, marine20.14c and shcal20.14c. These comma-separated-value files include D14C values (the IntCal20 curves were modelled in D14C space).

rintcal 1.0.0

• most functions have been transferred into the new R package rice. The rintcal package will become a data package with only very few functions remaining (related to loading/combining curves, and plotting/querying the intcal data)
• in mix.ccurves, errors are now calculated correctly
• intcal.data can now also plot the C14 data in the 'realms' of F14C, pMC and D14C

• mix.ccurves now doesn't fail if a provided cc.dir folder does not yet exist
