Calculate the optimal chunk size for the CDS field limits
Description
The function uses 90% of the CDS limit to keep a margin. For monthly
frequency, it returns the maximum number of years. For hourly or daily
frequency, it returns the maximum number of days.
Usage
compute_optimal_chunk_size(n_variables, frequency, n_pressure_levels = 1L)
Arguments
n_variables
Number of variables
frequency
"hourly", "daily", or "monthly"
n_pressure_levels
Number of pressure levels (1 for single-level)
Value
Integer: maximum years (monthly) or maximum days (hourly/daily) for each chunk
