There are a number of nice tide packages of which [rtide]( https://CRAN.R-project.org/package=rtide) is one I have enjoyed often. The [marée](https://translate.google.com/#view=home&op=translate&sl=en&tl=fr&text=tide) package really doesn't add any functionality. It does, however, work the command line tools for a local installation of [xtide](https://flaterco.com/xtide/xtide.html) #'

list station locations

provide a list of currently available reference stations and substations

spawn common 'tide' commands

Provides a convenience wrapper around the 'tide' command line tool

read various 'tide' formats

Reads a variety of tides output formats

updates

provides functionality to update the harmonics file (which is updated annually)
