PFUPipeline 0.1.8 (2024-02-07)

• Now producing a matrix containing detailed energy information about the final to useful extension. The target is called PSUTUsefulIEAWithDetails. The product is called Y_fu_U_EIOU_fu_details.

• Removed GitHub Actions for R-CMD-check and pkgdown. They didn't work and don't make much sense for this repository. Both the vignettes and the examples rely on access to database input data which are unavailable to GitHub Actions.
• Added exiobase coefficient calculations.
• New target Etai calculates efficiency of every machine.

PFUDatabase 0.1.2 (2023-08-18)

• Adapted to changes in MWTools for downloading and analyzing ILO data.

PFUDatabase 0.1.1 (2023-05-18)

• Released version 1.1 of the database. So also releasing this version of the package.
• Now filtering the muscle work data to only those countries, years, methods, energy types, and last stages also present in the IEA data. Effectively, this change eliminates MW data in 1960-1970 for developing nations whose IEA data starts in 1971. The target PSUTMW_all_years retains all of the muscle work data, but the target PSUTMW is filtered.
• Back to saving the cache upon release. The cache is needed for the Shiny app.
• No longer tracking 3 separate pinned outputs. Now only one pin (PSUT) contains all data with IEA and MW identified by the IEAMW column.
• React to name change:
  • matsbyname::make_list() --> RCLabels::make_list()
• add_iea_mw_psut() now returns one of the IEA data frame or the muscle work data frame when the other is NULL, thereby enabling the pipeline to complete when data are missing in a year.
• verify_mw_energy_balance() now returns TRUE when a zero-row data frame is supplied. This change enables analysis of years when no muscle work data are available.
• New functions load_amw_pfu_data(), load_hmw_pfu_data(), and rename_mw_sectors() ensure muscle work final demand sectors comport with IEA final demand sectors.
• targets pipeline now longer saves the cache. We never looked at it, anyway.
• targets pipeline now includes muscle work on its own and combined with the IEA data.
• targets pipeline now allows additional exemplar countries without IEA data by skipping writing allocations templates when no IEA data exists.
• New targets pipeline matches the previous drake workflow in extent.
• Cache is now stashed only when a release is requested.
• Now ignore efficiency files that begin with "~$", thereby ignoring open Excel sheets.
• We no longer skip the first row of FIN_ETA sheets. The first line formerly held a modification date.
