Arguments

A character vector.
trim_ws
A boolean; determines if trailing white spaces (generated by
the replacement), are trimmed or not.
squish_ws
A boolean; determines if trailing white spaces and repeated
whitespace inside a string (generated by the replacement), are trimmed or
not.
