It assumes that the input df is that prepared by the calc_1km_niches function

Arguments
DF
Data.frame of all species records prepared by the calc_1km_niches function
colname
Character string - the columns to estimate niches for E.G. 'rainfall', etc.
Value
Data.frame of estimated environmental niches for each species
