In Metropolitan-Council/regionalparks.acs: Regional Parks and the American Community Survey
Park/Trail status
Existing park or trail units are open to the public.
Planned park or trail units are in a master plan, either as parts of
existing unit not open to the public, or planned units not open to the
public but which exist approved master plan boundaries.
Search park or trail units are general search corridors for new
regional trails and parks. The specific alignments will be determined
through a planning process led by the regional park implementing agency.
Search corridors were approved by the Metropolitan Council as part of
various Regional Parks Policy Plans over the years and also affirmed in
2018 as part of the 2040 Regional Parks Policy Plan.
