In Shmelder/popdata: Storing and using population parameters
Data in this folder are required for the creation fo the popdata package.
Data Sets and Uses
- acs_15_spt_b01001_with_ann.csv : This data set contains information on the joint race age distribution inside of washington state, and is used for reweighting our sample to reflect the overall population of Washington. This dataset came from the American community survey, but is currently unavailable as the census is updating their website.
- Emory_CAMP_US_MSM_Estimates_Data_2013.csv : This dataset contains information on the number of MSM in each county of the united states and is used to reweight our sample to be representative of MSM in Washington State.
- For more information on the ACS data inside of the zip files, unzip the files and read the text files. Afterwards make sure to delete the folder containing the zipped files.
