In akleinhesselink/sheepweather: USSES Soil Moisture and Weather

sheep_station_weather

Package for distributing cleaned up weather and soil moisture data from the US Sheep Experiment Station in Dubois, ID, USA.

Data included:

• Raw soil moisture data collected in rainfall shelters from 2012 to 2016

• Daily soil moisture data modeled for the period from 1925 to 2016 using the SoilWat model developed by the Burke-Lauenrothe lab.

• Daily weather data from the USDA Sheep Experiment Station is retrieved from the NOAA NCDC database.

To use this package install and load the package and the data will become available as dataframes.

The package data can be re-compiled by runing the proccess_data.R and then the save_data.R scripts in the data-raw folder.
