In antdurrant/live.analytics: An Amazing Shiny App

live.analytics

live.analytics provides live-updating text analysis on your passages for ESL teaching. There are a bunch of different open-source wordlists out there, but making use of the research is not always all that easy. This project aims to consolidate the great work of a bunch of people and make it as accesible as possible to all audiences.

• Word-lists will be made available as part of an R-package, or as downloadable csvs
• With some luck and inspiration, auto-generated text and auto-generated questions will be an option in the future
• links to resources will be made available
• a demo will be made availabe
• shit be easy to use, yo

Installation

This is never making it to CRAN, so you can only get it from GitHub with:

# install.packages("devtools")
devtools::install_github("antdurrant/general.text.analytics")

Use of app

Realistically, nobody beyond me will ever work on this - the usable app is be available at: anthonypdurrant.shinyapps.io/general.text.analytics and documentation is available at: netlify.someurlthathasnotbeenadefinedyet.com

NOTE

• All of the everything is a work-in-progress
• I am but a single person working on this in his spare-time, whilst working full-time and raising a family
  • I think it is interesting and have found coworkers get value out of similar-ish in-house projects
  • I have got enough out of the open-source community that I want to give back where I have some level of knowledge, and this is it
