Data loading status

• BC posted new data files in group chat (including remote and trawl data)
• Updated zooplankton with season column
• BC Will update to gitHub soon
• CL has uploaded most of here data to her fork of azmpdata
• EC is working on converting it to RDA format
• EC will also create csv version of CL data to maintain consistent format

Version numbers

• BC will update in his fork of azmpdata
• version numbers will follow guidelines set by Wickham in his package development book (section 8.5)
• format: major.minor.patch.development
• minor number will represent year of latest data present in package
• eg. starting at 0.2019.0.9000
• When data is updated annually, minor number will be advanced, other updates during the year will increment patch number

variable name look up table

• EC will load table to package
• source column should be kept high level to avoid conflicts if BC/CL move on to other jobs
• EC will ask Diana about using generic data shop email
• citation column will reflect resdoc citation
• EC will base formatting on open data Canada (verbose text about method of access being package in vignette)
• BC will send EC link to example

Development updates

• EC: no update on update check, will test with new version number scheme

• BC query function will be advance when EC pushes variable look up table to package

• EC to set up meeting with BC to go over gitHub pull requests and technical details

• MM suggests getting download counter started on website to track interactions with package from the start!

• EC will ask Dan Kelley about this capability
