• Discussion followed points from presentation available in TEAMS chat (Data Access Update.pptx)

• Anomaly caluclations

• wrapper function works to avoid confusion in users
• BC and CL support IF statements used in multivaR::calculate_anomaly()
• designed to interact specfically with azmpdata formats
• Should seasonal anomaly produce error or warning if calculation is being used on a variable for which seasonal anomalies are not typically calculated?
  • BC and CJ say no, there may be scenarios where this function is used on other data such as nutrients
• CJ suggests table in documentation to explain the difference in use cases for each anomaly calculation function

• CL will write EC an anomaly summary to ensure physical anomalies ar eproperly implemented

• Plot region function update

• BC posted example files in TEAMS chat (polygons_attributes.csv & polygons_geometry.csv)
• These files are only partially finished, will be filled out before final version but there is a sample of each data type
• attribute file contains metadata (name of station,k type of area, depth, etc)
• geometry file contains lat and lon
• tables are connected by record column

• BBC working to bring these files into SF format for easy plotting

• Update mechanism

• EC has been developing update mechanism
• seperate data update and package update check systems supported by group

• version number scheme needs to be determined

  • Ec will send docs about version number schemes

• Workplan

• merges will happen regularly (Fridays) or if major changes have been made, developers need to maintian group contact

• Questions

• CJ: Where are we with Data loading?
  • Biological and chemical data is almost complete, just missing trawl and remote data (BC)
  • CL workplan is very busy with AZMP, will let EC know if any tasks can be transferred

Next meeting will be October 1st (afternoon) - EC will follow with agenda
