No notes received seem critical: - Names and references in DESCRIPTION are not misspelled. These 3 notes can be disregarded. - NULL file/directory note is likely an rhub issue that can be ignored according to rhub maintainers - The 'lastMiKTeXException' note may be due to a MikTeX bug; we have ignored this note for past releases without issue. - The example with elapsed time > 5s only happens in some test environments, and the elapsed time of 7.4 seconds is not excessive. - The HTML version of the manual is able to be validated locally and in environments other than fedora-clang-devel.
First submission of a patch release. Requested by CRAN because of a new note during the "HTML version of manual" check, due to a recent change to r-devel. Gompertztrunc 0.1.0 generates the following note on r-devel-linux-x86_64-debian-clang, r-devel-linux-x86_64-debian-gcc, and r-devel-linux-x86_64-fedora-clang:
Check: HTML version of manual Result: NOTE Found the following HTML validation problem: pipe.html:40:9 (pipe.Rd:12): Warning: \<code> anchor "lhs" already defined pipe.html:44:9 (pipe.Rd:14): Warning: \<code> anchor "rhs" already defined
The imported pipe function was refactored and its documentation fixed so that there are no duplicated \item entries in the html manual. Results from rechecking the package are below.

The example with elapsed time > 5s only happens in some test environments, and the elapsed time of 6.5 seconds is not excessive. The HTML version of the manual is able to validated locally and in environments other than fedora-clang-devel.
The following changes have been made in response to CRAN's comments:
Reworded the description so that it does not start with "Functions for"
Write less information to the console by changing print()
statements to warning()
or encompassing with an if verbose()
block. Also, diagnostic_plot()
and diagnostic_plot_hazard()
functions were altered to produce fewer internal warnings and/or to not automatically
write internal ggplot messages to the console.
The suggestion to add references was optional; we have not done so for this release.

Please do not start the description with "This package", package name, title or "Functions for".
If there are references describing the methods in your package, please add these in the description field of your DESCRIPTION file in the form authors (year) authors (year) authors (year, ISBN:...) or if those are not available: with no space after 'doi:', 'arXiv:', 'https:' and angle brackets for auto-linking. (If you want to add a title as well please put it in quotes: "Title")
You write information messages to the console that cannot be easily suppressed. It is more R like to generate objects that can be used to extract the information a user is interested in, and then print() that object. Instead of print() rather use message()/warning() or if(verbose)cat(..) (or maybe stop()) if you really have to write text to the console. (except for print, summary, interactive functions)

Notes: * The 'lastMiKTeXException' note only occurs when build is checked on windows-x86_64-devel. After searching online, it seems that this note is possibly due to a MiKTeX bug during checking and can probably be ignored.
