The package requires the installation of rstan https://github.com/stan-dev/rstan/wiki/RStan-Getting-Started
With a recent version of rstan being available, the devtools package can be used to install standrc (it might take a while to build the vignette):
library(devtools)
install_github("daniel-gerhard/standrc", build_vignettes=TRUE)
