Description acquisition functions approximation functions database functions metadata functions visualisation functions
The foo package provides three categories of important functions: Data acquisition functions, approximation functions, and database functions.
The data acquisition functions download raw indicators from various open data sources.
The approximation functions fill in missing values in times series or longitudinal with linear approximation, the last observation carry forward or the next observation carry backwards methods.
The database functions assemble the metadata and data tables of various indicators into a SQlite database.
The metadata function update the metadata tables.
The visualisation function help to provide consistent visualisation (for example, colors) in an observatory.
