Objective

Malaysia home loan calculator to estimate your monthly house loan repayments.

Instructions

Features:

• Estimate monthly home loan repayment amount.

• Generate pie chart of housing loan principal versus interest amounts.

• Generate principal, interest and balance loan repayment chart, over loan period.

• Generate principal, interest and balance loan repayment table, by year.

How to Use:

• Enter property price in Malaysian Ringgit.

• Enter down payment amount in Malaysian Ringgit.

• Enter housing loan period in Years.

• Enter loan interest rate in Percentage.

Results

• Tab1: (Your Monthly Repayment)

• Get your monthly house loan repayments by entering property price, down payment amount, housing loan period and loan interest rate

• Tab2: (Data Summary from Banking System)

• This is to understand the trend that total number of loan applications have been applied and total number of loan applications have been approved for the purpose of buying properties

• In December 2015, the US Federal Reserve made a historic move to raise the Federal Funds Rate above the zero bound. If Bank Malaysia also follows the US trend to increase the interest rate, house loan repayments will be increased. Payment Schedule Simulation is here to help you to understand how interest rate will impact your monthly repayment.

Things to understand in Malaysia

• Base Lending Rate (BLR) = 6.6%

• Malaysia Overnight Policy Rate (OPR) unchanged at 3.25%

• Maximum Loan Amount = 90% of property price.
