The goal of SemiCompRisksPen is to perform penalized estimation of fraily-based parametric illness-death models for semi-competing risks, as described in:

This package has largely been superceded by the package SemiCompRisksFreq which incorporates
the functionality of this package as well as many other features. So, for most users
