This getting started guide to the connectHERE R-package guides you through the first steps of connecting to the HERE REST API.
Get a developer account from HERE. You can get a freemium developers license which is big enough to explore all the nice features of the HERE platform.
To get a license go to https://developer.here.com/ and create an account. Next, create a REST API project to get the APP Id and the APP Code.
After getting the APP Id and the APP Code, it's time to save these into the R-environment. The connectHERE package contains two little functions which check the APP Id and the APP Code to the standards.
The code below stores the APP Id and the APP Code to the standard names, as used by all the functions in the connectHERE package. It's highly recommended to use the standard names, as it will save you a lot of typing in the functions later on.
Run the code below to set your id and code.
app_id <- setID(id = "YOUR APP Id") app_code <- setCode(code = "YOUR APP Code")
Add the following code to your website.
