Climates

Methods for working with, downscaling climate, recreating bioclim variables, extracting extreme event information, etc.

Intallation until there's a better approach:

install.packages("devtools")
library(devtools)
install_github(“jjvanderwal/climates”)

Or checkout and clone the github repository open the RStudio project and build and reload the package. Once built, running the package tests throug RStudio's build tools is reccomended to ensure everything is working as expected.

For usage, look through the tests in the tests/testthat folder. The integration tests are especially informative.

Required Packages: sp, rgdal, chron, zoo, climdex.pcic, PCICt, raster The goal here is to use Imports explicitly, but while the package is in development, Depends will be used as a transition to Imports is made.

Suggested Packages:ncdf, ncdf4, SDMTools, clim.pact The goal with these packages is to 'require' them at run time. This is against R package checking guidance, but will allow users to use the package without installing ncdf4 and other hard to install packages.

Functions that interact with data require ncdf4. They are: dap_bioclim init_dap request_bbox request_time_bounds.R dap_daily_stats get_dap_data get_time_dim initialize_NetCDF
