The Administration for Community Living publishes a yearly profile of older Americans generated from the United States Census Bureau. The available data lives in PDF files or Excel Sheets on the ACL website. The code to obtain the data from the Excel Sheets can be found here.
This shiny application uses some of this data to generate graphs to communicate key ideas--the projected increase of persons 65 plus, where this population resides and the trend of older adults moving out of the Midwest. This Shiny Application was built using the Golem and the BS4Dashboard framework.
