Format

A data.frame with 2217 observations on 13 variables:

• model_name: Name of car model

• model_id: Numeric identifier for car model

• firm_id: Numeric identifier for production firm

• time_id: Numeric identifier for year of sale

• price: price - mean(price)

• mpd: Miles per dollar

• air: ==1 if car has airconditioning

• mpg: Miles per gallon

• space: Space inside vehicle

• hpwt: Horsepower per pound

• share: Market share of vehicle

• outshr: Outside share

• y: outcome variable defined as log(share) - log(outshr)
