In mdsumner/sf.autotest: Auto Test Simple Features

Test sf on all autotest files

This package exists to run on Travis, so that when the package is updated the following happens:

• the sf is installed with all dependencies
• the GDAL autotest repo is cloned into "~/gdal_coverage/"
• a simple test suite runs against all files in "~/gdal_coverage/autotest/ogr/data/"

An R function runs within a try() to attempt to read a simple features layer with sf::st_read with each file, no matter what that file is. If there's an error, the function returns NULL.

Currently, as at sf acdf4f392e92330a52a491f733b428731f1c4a56 the process runs to completion with no segfaults.

TODO

This could be used for more, there's no convenient reporting from the Travis build yet.
