In padrinoDB/Rpadrino: Interact with the 'PADRINO' IPM Database

Introduction

Often times, one database will not be sufficient to answer the questions we are asking. For example, we can learn a great deal by combining demographic information with gridded climate data to investigate the effects of environmental variation. We can gain insight into evolutionary processes by examining how demographic processes vary across phylogeny. Therefore PADRINO and Rpadrino are designed to facilitate combination with other data sources. In this vignette, we'll cover how to combine them with COMPADRE, a matrix population model database, sources of climate data (NOAA), and functional traits (BIEN).
