In pttry/ficomp: Short Run Price Competitiveness of Finland

ficomp

The ficomp package collects and calculates data for short term price competitiveness indicators. Data was used for VN-TEAS-project Lyhyen aikavälin kilpailukyvyn eteenpäin katsova arviointi.

Data have been updatet since.

Documentation is very much uncomplete.

Data collection

Data files are in data-raw -folder:

Data operations can be run from: data_main.R

Final data is parsed togerther in files:

data_meta.R - Country groups, dates, labels and other metadata

data-raw/data_annual.R - Final annual data

data.frames:

data_main_groups_a - Value added based data with industry groups

data_main_total_a

• Total economy indicators like gdp, export, import and EO indicators of export markets

data_main_annual

• Main annual data for total economy, based on eurostat and ameco data (non-eurostat countries).

data_long_annual

• Longer annual data for total economy, based on eurostat and ameco data (non-eurostat countries and for missing eurostat data).

data.frames:

q_dat - Eurostat and OECD QNA data added with OECD ULC and EO indicators from eo_q_dat. - Countries: eurostat_geo and oecd_geo

q_dat_oecd_ulc - OECD ULC data - eurostat_geos, oecd_geos_ulcq

data_quartely_est - As q_dat but added countries / year from estimated quaterly data based on AMECO annual data (data_ameco).
