Tracking Media Mortality Database
Purpose
The purpose of this database is to track mortality data from news sources. Using
this method to conduct surveillance provide "real-time" data when compared to
other methods (e.g., death certificates).
Period of surveillance
Active surveillance according to the protocols is carried when the team lead
determines the branch need to carry active surveillance.
