Richel's review

In this song, K3 sings about the importance of love. The song introduces itself with a contemplative and emotional mood, and goes to a danceable higher tempo afterwards.

The feast of Sinterklaas (a Dutch festivity that was the foundation of Christmas) is near. With Sinterklaas, people write poems that have a bad rhyme (e.g. by using mostly masculine rhyme) by tradition. It appears that the songwriters of this song were in the mood for this festivity earlier this year, as the rhyme is just as cheap. Of nearly all sentence pairs, the second can be predicted with high probablity. There is only one exception, at [3], as I cannot understand the word they sing there.

It may sound like good idea to have food-related rhyme ([1] and [2]), I personally think K3 should be able to come up with some higher metaphores for their beloved. They have done so many times and have compared the boy to: a poem (Excuseer Me), a warrior (Cowboys En Indianen), a cute animal and the sun in one's existance ((Dat Ding Dat Je Doet)[DatDingDatJeDoet.md]), prince and movie star ((Yeke Yeke)[YekeYeke.md]).

I start disliking the word 'gieren' (a synonymn for 'laughing), as I feel it is an ugly word that is overused (it is used in Prinses, Radio and Jodelee) and was always part of cheap rhyme.

I enjoy the bridge with an awesome trumpet (or is it a saxophone?) solo. The song Hallo K3 and Laat De Wind Maar Waaien share a similar nice solo.

Upon hearing the introduction of the song for the first time, my expectations were high. It would be nice to have another emotional song like Je Hebt Een Vriend or Alleen Door Jou sung by the current HKM formation, as I regard those songs highly. Sadly, the tempo changed to an energetic beat, which worked out badly already for Eeuwig En Altijd. Additionaly, I think the energetic beat is repetitive and slow enough so elderly people can dance on it. On the other hand, I feel much effort went into making that boring beat a bit more vivid.

K3 singing about love is what they do best. Songs like Verliefd, Meisje In De Spiegel, Jupiter and Zwaai Als Je Verliefd Bent are excellent examples of this. But in my opinion, up until now, the current HKM formation has not produced a excellent song about this important theme yet.

My conclusion is that this is a very unoriginal song, filled with cheap rhyme and a mediocre beat. I would like to thank the people that made the beat more vivid for succeeding; they cannot be blamed to have a boring musical foundation to work with. Glory to the trumpet player!
