sarahsupp/growR: Geographic Regions of the World in R

Methods and data for mapping several published geographic regions of the world to R ggmap plots. Includes data for, Marine Ecoregions of the World (regions.df from R Package meowR; Byrnes 2016; Spalding et al. 2007), Freshwater Ecoregions of the World (http://maps.tnc.org/files/metadata/FEOW.xml; Abell et al. 2008), Terrestrial Ecoregions of the World (http://maps.tnc.org/files/metadata/TerrEcos.xml; Olson et al. 2001), Biodiversity Hotspots (Version 2016.1, 25 April 2016; http://www.cepf.net/resources/hotspots/Pages/default.aspx; Noss et al. 2015; BirdLife International 2016; Mittermeier et al. 2011; Williams et al. 2011; Mittermeier et al. 2004; Myers et al. 2000), and IPBES regions (http://datadryad.org/resource/doi:10.5061/dryad.6gb90.2/15.2; Brooks et al. 2016a, 2016b). Modified functions from and uses marine data by J. Byrnes R package, meowR (https://github.com/jebyrnes/meowR; http://www.marineregions.org/downloads.php).
