This is a slimmed down version of a data set by the same name found in snowload2. It is included here because it is useful, and snowload2 in its entirety is not available to the public.

1	ghcnd_stations

A data frame with 69163 rows and 7 variables:

ID: Station id code, see https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/data/global-historical-climatology-network-daily/doc/GHCND_documentation.pdf
LATITUDE: The latitude of the station (in decimal degrees).
LONGITUDE: The longitude of the station (in decimal degrees).
ELEVATION: The elevation of the station (in meters).
STATE: The U.S. postal code for the state (for U.S. stations only).
NAME: The name of the station.
COUNTY: County where station is located.
