Subject perceived condition

Description

Officer perception of subject's condition.

Usage

incident_subject_perceived_condition

Format

A dataframe with 3 columns

form_id

Unique identifier for the incident table.

index

Index in source field list where this value is found.

perceived_condition

Type of force applied

Details

This data is extracted from the PerceivedCondition field in use_of_force_raw.

There may be multiple rows in this table linking to a single incident or a single subject.

When an incident is associated to more than one subject, there is no reliable way of associating rows in this table to individual subjects. The source field is a comma separated list, and the index column in this table indicates the position in the list (1 = first position).

The perceived condition will be one of the following:

  • "Under influence of drugs/alcohol/both": Subject appears under the influence of drugs, alcohol, orsome combination.

  • "Potential Mental Health Incident": Subject appears to be experiencing a potential mental healthincident.

  • "Other unusual condition noted": Subject displays some other unusual condition.

  • "No unusual condition noted": Subject does not display any unusual condition.
