Dissolved inorganic carbon species

Description

X_DIC() calculates the relative abundance of the DIC species as a function of solution temperature, pH, and salinity.

Usage

X_DIC(temp, pH, S)

Arguments

temp

The temperature of the solution (°C).

pH

The pH of the solution.

S

The salinity of the solution (g/kg or ‰).

Value

Returns a data frame with the relative abundance of the DIC species:

  • Relative abundance of dissolved CO2 (%).

  • Relative abundance of bicarbonate ion (%).

  • Relative abundance of carbonate ion (%).
