Description
U.S. Postal Service handwritten digit "0" through "9".
Each is an 8-bit 16x16 grayscale image of a single digit;
1100 examples of each class.
Format
A data frame with 256 rows and 11000 variables.
Each row corresponds to an 8-bit value of one
of the 256 cells contained in a 16 x 16 image.
Each column is the 16 x 16 image of a single handwritten digit.
There are 1100 different handwritten images of each digit
appearing in blocks of 1100 columns in the order
"1", "2", "3", "4", "5", "6", "7", "8", "9", "0"
