Search for ERA5 variables by keyword

Usage

SearchVariable(...)

search_variable(keyword, dataset_type = "all", exact_match = FALSE)

Arguments

...	Arguments that the aliases send to the primary function.
keyword	Character string to find in variable names and descriptions
dataset_type	Character string that gives the dataset type ("single", "pressure", or "all")
exact_match	Logical. If TRUE, use an exact match

Value

A data.frame with columns variable_name, description, units, dataset_type and category, one row per matching variable.

Examples

# Search for temperature variables
temp_vars <- search_variable("temperature")

# Search only in pressure level data
pressure_temp <- search_variable("temperature", dataset_type = "pressure")
