Description

mHM_recalcAlpha is back-calculating the α parameter for one soil layer i of a mHM model simulation. Back-calculation is based on soil water content (x_{3}), permanent wilting point (β_{15}) and porosity (β_{16}).

Usage

mHM_recalcAlpha(swc, pwp, sat)

Arguments

swc

array 3d, containing soil moisture data [mm] for soil layer i. Third dimension is time.

pwp

array 2d, containing permanent wilting point [mm] for soil layer i.

sat

array 2d, containing soil moisture limit (saturation, porosity) [mm] for soil layer i.

Details

α is calculated as follows:

α = \frac{x_{3}(t-1) - β_{15}}{β_{16} - β_{15}}

Value

array of $alpha$ values for soil layer i.
