Accuracy

Are the results accurate?

• Yes - most functions generate the claimed output (exlcuding those explicitly mentioned as non-functioning)

Is it clear how the results were computed?

• As clear as they can be to someone unfamiliar with these methods, yes. Documentation is rich, argument and function decsriptions are clear and spot on.

Compilation

Did the analytic work?

• Yes! There some functions explicitly mentioned as non-functioning, and all others produce the desired results.

• No installation errors; data set loaded properly; any dependencies were installed, as well.

Were errors encountered when executing code according to documentation?

• During a run of iso.date(), had to force quit R due to a freeze:

• e.g. iso.date(July_Articles, "6july2017", "20july2017") caused a freeze; could be due to the size of the data or some other minor thing

• I wouldn't say there were explicit errors, but most functions I used took a good amount of time. I don't know if it's because I'm using to large of a data set or if I've misspecified something.

Ease of use

Is it clear how to use the analytic?

• On the surface, yes. As I said, the documentation is great a for describing what's required and essentially what is happening. But, I ran into some issues with run time, and it's probably because the corpus I was using (the provided July_Articles data set) was too large. If novel examples can be worked with smaller data sets, I think there ought to be a disclaimer somewhere mentioning the relationship between runtime and the size of the provided data set.

Are the visualizations/plots interpretable?

• I think they could be with smaller data sets, but with just the provided set (and even half that) the plots are a little busy. It could also be the function arguments I'm passing, but I've stuck to the example arguments.

Overall

Great variety of funcionality; the scope of the work is impressive. Bummer about the dependency issues for some functions, but overall this is a sweet package. Oustanding (50/50)
