Valid options to be passed to tex
calls.
All methods for tex
support the following arguments. They can either be passed through the options
argument as a list
(this approach facilitates producing a "theme" (or themes) across multiple tables in an analysis) or individually through the catch-all ...
.
align Alignment specifications to be passed through to LaTeX's \align{}
; valid values are l
, r
, c
, and p
. p
must be followed by a valid width specification. Must specify one alignment for each output column (be wary of alignment for row names). Default: NULL
.
caption To be provided to LaTeX's \caption{}
. See also caption.placement
and label
. Default: NULL
.
caption.placement Should the caption be included above or below the output? Valid values are "top"
, "above"
, "bottom"
, and "below"
. Default: "above"
.
digits For numeric input x
, this number is passed to base::round
's digits
argument to truncate output as specified. Default: NULL
.
file If specified, the output is saved to file
. Default: ""
(so printed in stdout
).
floating.environment Currently supported environments are table
and sidewaystable
. Default: "table"
.
hline.after After which rows of the output should a horizontal line be included (via \hline
)? Must be in the range [-1, nrow(x)]
if use.col
is TRUE
or "col"
, else in [0, nrow(x)]
. See use.dims
and vline.after
. Default: NULL
.
label To be provided to LaTeX's \label{}
. Always included directly below \caption{}
. Default: NULL
.
line.ends logical
; mainly for internal use, for "glue-ing" columns together. If FALSE
, the typical line end (\
) is excluded; this will lead to unexpected/erroneous output if used improperly. Default: TRUE
.
line.split How should lines be separated in the output? Common usage is to just separate lines with a newline (\n
); this option is for convenience to LyX users, for whom double-newlines facilitate copy-pasting. Default: "\n"
.
na.char How should NA
values be printed? Default: ""
.
only.body logical
; should meta-data (i.e., the \begin
, \centering
, \caption
, etc.) be excluded, leaving only the main body of the table to be outputted? Default: FALSE
.
placement Floating environment placement; valid values are !
, h
, t
, b
, and p
. Default: "ht"
.
use.dims Which of row names and column names should be included in the output? If use.dims = TRUE
, both are included; if use.dims = "row"
, only row names are included; if use.dims = "col"
, only column names are included; and if use.dims = FALSE
, neither are included. Default: TRUE
.
vline.after After which columns of the output should a vertical line be included (via |
in the \align
specification)? Must be in the range [-1, ncol(x)]
if use.col
is TRUE
or "row"
, else in [0, ncol(x)]
. See use.dims
and hline.after
. Default: NULL
.
