Self Starting Modified Platt Model

Description

A selfStart model for Platt's Photosynthesis-Irradiance curve with Intercept.

Usage

SSPlatt(I, alpha, beta, Pmax, R)

Arguments

I	The measured irradiance
alpha	initial slope of the light limited of the P-I curve
beta	the rate of photoinhibition
Pmax	light saturated photosynthetic rate
R	intercept of the P-I curve

Details

This model differs from Platt (1980) in that it allows for a non-zero intercept.

P = Pmax (1-\exp(-α*I/Pmax)) \exp(-β*I/Pmax) + R
