Description

A dataset containing household food security and livelihood coping strategy data from a SMART Survey. Data has been processed by the healthyr functions.

Yes(1)/No(0) if the household consumed cereals or grains in the previous day.

Yes(1)/No(0) if the household consumed roots or tubers in the previous day.

fcs_legumes

Number of days pulses, legumes, nuts consumed in the past 7 days.

hdds_legumes

Yes(1)/No(0) if the household consumed pulses, legumes or nuts in the previous day.

fcs_dairy

Number of days milk or dairy products consumed in the past 7 days.

hdds_dairy

Yes(1)/No(0) if the household consumed milk or dairy products in the previous day.

Data quality flag if more days of meat consumption are reported than days of cereal consumption in the past 7 days.

Data quality flag if FCS score of 0.

flag_all_fcs

Data quality flag if all FCS values are 0 or 7.

flag_low_fcs

Data quality flag if FCS score < 5 is reported.

flag_high_fcs

Data quality flag if FCS score > 60 is reported.

flag_fcs_extreme

Data quality flag if an extreme FCS score of <3 or >60 is reported.

flag_hhs_nofoodhh_noeat

Data quality flag if the most severe HHS experience is reported, but not the least severe HHS experience.

flag_severe_hhs

Data quality flag if Very Severe HHS score is reported. This is not necessarily an error, but if a large proportion of households are reported as Very Severe, it may indicate a mistake by the enumerators.

flag_low_hdds

Data quality flag if low HDDS score <2 is reported.

flag_high_hdds

Data quality flag if high HDDS score >9 is reported.

flag_low_sugar_oil_hdds

Data quality flag if low HDDS is reported (<=2) but sugars and condiments are reported.

flag_high_rcsi

Data quality flag if rCSI score is >= 50

flag_lcs_severity

Data quality flag if a household reported to use or have exhausted emergency coping strategies, but not any stress or crisis coping strategies.

flag_fc_cell

Data quality flag if FEWSNET Matrix cells 3,4,5,8,9 or 10 are reported. These cells reflect implausible combinations reflective of low rCSI scores, high FCS scores, and high HHS scores.
