Indicator information

The data was acquired from the National Survey for Wales, 2017-2018. The data was extracted from the variable DvJobSatGrp4. Respondents were asked to rate their overall satisfaction with their present job between 0 and 10. Respondents were classed as moderately or highly satisfied if they gave a score between 5 and 10. Sample weighting from the column SampleAdultWeight were applied to make the data more representative of the general population and to account for sub-sampling. Confidence intervals were calculated using the binom.wilson() function from the {binom} R package.

Surveyed people were asked to report on their highest level of education. The derived responses were original stored as variable DvHiQual2. The original response options were:

  1. National Qualification Framework levels 4-8
  2. National Qualification Framework level 3
  3. National Qualification Framework level 2
  4. Below National Qualification Framework level 2
  5. No qualification

These options were re-coded to form a four category variable Education as follows High = 1, Medium = 2, Low = 3 & 4, None = 5.
