Description

Simulated birth rates for 5-year age groups, 30 regions, and 3 time periods, with rates in regions 25-30 during period 3 being drawn from a distribution with a different age-profile from other region-time combinations, but the same average level.

Usage

sim.birth.rates.distn

Format

An array with dimensions "age", "region", "time", and "iteration".

Details

The rates were obtained by taking age-specific fertility rates for New Zealand in 2006, multiplying by random region and time effects, and then perturbing rates in regions 25-30 during period 3.
