A pair of spatial data objects relating to the 2000 Baltic Soil Survey.

The data contains two objects:

baltic_chop: A SpatialPolygons object of states surrounding the Baltic. Russia is truncated.
topsoil: A SpatialPointsDataFrame containing survey results for topsoil.

The topsoil data frame contains the following variables;

SIO2_T: Silica (Silicon dioxide) concentration.
TiO2_T: Titanium dioxide concentration.
Al2O3_T: Aluminium oxide concentration.
Fe2O3_T: Iron (III) oxide concentration.
MnO_T: Manganese (II) oxide concentration.
MgO_T: Magnesium oxide concentration.
CaO_T: Calcium oxide concentration.
Na2O_T: Sodium oxide concentration.
K2O_T: Potassium oxide concentration.
P2O5_T: Phosphorus pentoxide concentration.

Concentrations are percentage by weight, standardised to z-scores. All map projections are UTM zone 35N.
