The deterministic decision tree is consists of two (ordered) static lookups consisting of before culture result and after. The after case is further extended to to include predicted intermediate outcomes or observed. That is whether treatment was started in advance of culture results and what the effects of symptoms actually where or would, counterfactually, have been.
